But you are a shield1 around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lifta up my head.2

To the LORD I cry aloud,3 and he answers me from his holy hill.4 "Selah"

I lie down and sleep;5 I wake again,6 because the LORD sustains me.

I will not fear7 the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.8
7
Arise,9 O LORD! Deliver me,10 O my God! Strike11 all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth12 of the wicked.

From the LORD comes deliverance.13 May your blessing14 be on your people. "Selah"
