From Zion,1 perfect in beauty,2 God shines forth.33
Our God comes4 and will not be silent;5 a fire devours6 before him,7 and around him a tempest8 rages.
He summons the heavens above, and the earth,9 that he may judge his people:105
"Gather to me my consecrated ones,11 who made a covenant12 with me by sacrifice."
And the heavens proclaim13 his righteousness, for God himself is judge.14 "Selah"
"Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify15 against you: I am God, your God.168
I do not rebuke17 you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings,18 which are ever before me.
I have no need of a bull19 from your stall or of goats20 from your pens,2110
for every animal of the forest22 is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.2311
I know every bird24 in the mountains, and the creatures of the field25 are mine.
If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world26 is mine, and all that is in it.27
