Psalm 7:5-15 (New International Version)

5 then let my enemy pursue and overtake1 me; let him trample my life to the ground2 and make me sleep in the dust.3 "Selah" 6 Arise,4 O LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies.5 Awake,6 my God; decree justice. 7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you. Rule over them from on high;7 8 let the LORD judge8 the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness,9 according to my integrity,10 O Most High.11 9 O righteous God,12 who searches minds and hearts,13 bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.14 10 My shielda15 is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.16 11 God is a righteous judge,17 a God who expresses his wrath18 every day. 12 If he does not relent,19 heb will sharpen his sword;20 he will bend and string his bow.21 13 He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.22 14 He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth23 to disillusionment. 15 He who digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit24 he has made.25
