They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.1
14
They will make war2 against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome3 them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings4--and with him will be his called, chosen5 and faithful followers."

Then the angel said to me, "The waters6 you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.7
16
The beast and the ten horns8 you saw will hate the prostitute.9 They will bring her to ruin10 and leave her naked;11 they will eat her flesh12 and burn her with fire.13
17
For God has put it into their hearts14 to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule,15 until God's words are fulfilled.16
18
The woman you saw is the great city17 that rules over the kings of the earth."
