Hallelujah!

1 After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude1 in heaven shouting: "Hallelujah!2 Salvation3 and glory and power4 belong to our God, 2 for true and just are his judgments.5 He has condemned the great prostitute6 who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants."7 3 And again they shouted: "Hallelujah!8 The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever."9 4 The twenty-four elders10 and the four living creatures11 fell down12 and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: "Amen, Hallelujah!"13 5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying: "Praise our God, all you his servants,14 you who fear him, both small and great!"15 6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,16 like the roar of rushing waters17 and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah!18 For our Lord God Almighty19 reigns.20 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!21 For the wedding of the Lamb22 has come, and his bride23 has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen,24 bright and clean, was given her to wear." 9 Then the angel said to me,25 "Write:26 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "27 And he added, "These are the true words of God."28 10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him.29 But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!30 For the testimony of Jesus31 is the spirit of prophecy."

The Rider on the White Horse

11 I saw heaven standing open32 and there before me was a white horse, whose rider33 is called Faithful and True.34 With justice he judges and makes war.35
