I, John,1 your brother and companion in the suffering2 and kingdom3 and patient endurance4 that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God5 and the testimony of Jesus.610

which said: "Write on a scroll what you see10 and send it to the seven churches:11 to Ephesus,12 Smyrna,13 Pergamum,14 Thyatira,15 Sardis,16 Philadelphia17 and Laodicea."18
