12Him who overcomes1 I will make a pillar2 in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God3 and the name of the city of my God,4 the new Jerusalem,5 which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.13He who has an ear, let him hear6 what the Spirit says to the churches.
14"To the angel of the church in Laodicea7 write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness,8 the ruler of God's creation.915I know your deeds,10 that you are neither cold nor hot.11 I wish you were either one or the other!16So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.'12 But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.1318I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire,14 so you can become rich; and white clothes15 to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness;16 and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.17 So be earnest, and repent.1820Here I am! I stand at the door19 and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,20 I will come in21 and eat with him, and he with me.21To him who overcomes,22 I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,23 just as I overcame24 and sat down with my Father on his throne.22He who has an ear, let him hear25 what the Spirit says to the churches."
