And those he predestined,1 he also called;2 those he called, he also justified;3 those he justified, he also glorified.431
What, then, shall we say in response to this?5 If God is for us,6 who can be against us?732
He who did not spare his own Son,8 but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Who will bring any charge9 against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
Who is he that condemns?10 Christ Jesus, who died11--more than that, who was raised to life12--is at the right hand of God13 and is also interceding for us.1435
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?15 Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?1636
As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."a1737
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors18 through him who loved us.1938
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,b neither the present nor the future,20 nor any powers,2139
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God22 that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.23
