-
And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done.
-
So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
-
he named him Noah, saying, "Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the toil of our hands."
-
One day, however, when he went into the house to do his work, and while no one else was in the house,
-
But the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their work? Get to your labors!"
-
Let heavier work be laid on them; then they will labor at it and pay no attention to deceptive words."
-
Go and get straw yourselves, wherever you can find it; but your work will not be lessened in the least.' "
-
The taskmasters were urgent, saying, "Complete your work, the same daily assignment as when you were given straw."
-
Go now, and work; for no straw shall be given you, but you shall still deliver the same number of bricks."
-
On the first day you shall hold a solemn assembly, and on the seventh day a solemn assembly; no work shall be done on those days; only what everyone must eat, that alone may be prepared by you.
-
Israel saw the great work that the Lord did against the Egyptians. So the people feared the Lord and believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses.
-
Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
-
But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns.
-
Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest, so that your ox and your donkey may have relief, and your homeborn slave and the resident alien may be refreshed.
-
You shall make two cherubim of gold; you shall make them of hammered work, at the two ends of the mercy seat.
-
You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The base and the shaft of the lampstand shall be made of hammered work; its cups, its calyxes, and its petals shall be of one piece with it;
-
You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, in skilled work; you shall make it in the style of the ephod; of gold, of blue and purple and crimson yarns, and of fine twisted linen you shall make it.
-
to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,
-
You shall keep the sabbath, because it is holy for you; everyone who profanes it shall be put to death; whoever does any work on it shall be cut off from among the people.
-
Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall be put to death.
-
The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved upon the tablets.
-
He said: I hereby make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform marvels, such as have not been performed in all the earth or in any nation; and all the people among whom you live shall see the work of the Lord; for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
-
Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even in plowing time and in harvest time you shall rest.
-
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy sabbath of solemn rest to the Lord; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.
-
Everyone who could make an offering of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord's offering; and everyone who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work, brought it.
-
All the Israelite men and women whose hearts made them willing to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done, brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord.
-
to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,
-
He has filled them with skill to do every kind of work done by an artisan or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and in fine linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of artisan or skilled designer.
-
Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful one to whom the Lord has given skill and understanding to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.
-
Moses then called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful one to whom the Lord had given skill, everyone whose heart was stirred to come to do the work;
-
and they received from Moses all the freewill offerings that the Israelites had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him freewill offerings every morning,
-
and said to Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do."
-
for what they had already brought was more than enough to do all the work.
-
He also made the lampstand of pure gold. The base and the shaft of the lampstand were made of hammered work; its cups, its calyxes, and its petals were of one piece with it.
-
These are the records of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the covenant, which were drawn up at the commandment of Moses, the work of the Levites being under the direction of Ithamar son of the priest Aaron.
-
All the gold that was used for the work, in all the construction of the sanctuary, the gold from the offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred thirty shekels, measured by the sanctuary shekel.
-
Gold leaf was hammered out and cut into threads to work into the blue, purple, and crimson yarns and into the fine twisted linen, in skilled design.
-
He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, like the work of the ephod, of gold, of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and of fine twisted linen.
-
In this way all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished; the Israelites had done everything just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
-
The Israelites had done all of the work just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
-
When Moses saw that they had done all the work just as the Lord had commanded, he blessed them.
-
He set up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the screen at the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
-
This shall be a statute to you forever: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall deny yourselves, and shall do no work, neither the citizen nor the alien who resides among you.
-
Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements.
-
On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
For seven days you shall present the Lord's offerings by fire; on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation: you shall not work at your occupations.
-
On that same day you shall make proclamation; you shall hold a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations. This is a statute forever in all your settlements throughout your generations.
-
You shall not work at your occupations; and you shall present the Lord's offering by fire.
-
and you shall do no work during that entire day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God.
-
And anyone who does any work during that entire day, such a one I will destroy from the midst of the people.
-
You shall do no work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your settlements.
-
The first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
Seven days you shall present the Lord's offerings by fire; on the eighth day you shall observe a holy convocation and present the Lord's offerings by fire; it is a solemn assembly; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old, all who qualify to do work relating to the tent of meeting.
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old you shall enroll them, all who qualify to do work in the tent of meeting.
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old you shall enroll them, everyone who qualifies to do the work of the tent of meeting.
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who qualified for work relating to the tent of meeting;
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who qualified for work relating to the tent of meeting—
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who qualified for work relating to the tent of meeting—
-
from thirty years old up to fifty years old, everyone who qualified to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens relating to the tent of meeting,
-
Now this was how the lampstand was made, out of hammered work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was hammered work; according to the pattern that the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
-
Make two silver trumpets; you shall make them of hammered work; and you shall use them for summoning the congregation, and for breaking camp.
-
On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall not work at your occupations.
-
And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
On the day of the first fruits, when you offer a grain offering of new grain to the Lord at your festival of weeks, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
On the first day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations. It is a day for you to blow the trumpets,
-
On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and deny yourselves; you shall do no work.
-
On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not work at your occupations. You shall celebrate a festival to the Lord seven days.
-
On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly; you shall not work at your occupations.
-
Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
-
But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.
-
the Levites, because they have no allotment or inheritance with you, as well as the resident aliens, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, may come and eat their fill so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work that you undertake.
-
Give liberally and be ungrudging when you do so, for on this account the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
-
Every firstling male born of your herd and flock you shall consecrate to the Lord your God; you shall not do work with your firstling ox nor shear the firstling of your flock.
-
For six days you shall continue to eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly for the Lord your God, when you shall do no work.
-
"Cursed be anyone who makes an idol or casts an image, anything abhorrent to the Lord, the work of an artisan, and sets it up in secret." All the people shall respond, saying, "Amen!"
-
For I know that after my death you will surely act corruptly, turning aside from the way that I have commanded you. In time to come trouble will befall you, because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger through the work of your hands."
-
The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he;
-
Bless, O Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; crush the loins of his adversaries, of those that hate him, so that they do not rise again.
-
Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua and had known all the work that the Lord did for Israel.
-
The people worshiped the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work that the Lord had done for Israel.
-
Moreover, that whole generation was gathered to their ancestors, and another generation grew up after them, who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.
-
"Are they not finding and dividing the spoil?— A girl or two for every man; spoil of dyed stuffs for Sisera, spoil of dyed stuffs embroidered, two pieces of dyed work embroidered for my neck as spoil?'
-
This man left the town of Bethlehem in Judah, to live wherever he could find a place. He came to the house of Micah in the hill country of Ephraim to carry on his work.
-
Then at evening there was an old man coming from his work in the field. The man was from the hill country of Ephraim, and he was residing in Gibeah. (The people of the place were Benjaminites.)
-
He will take your male and female slaves, and the best of your cattle and donkeys, and put them to his work.
-
He brought out the people who were in it, and set them to work with saws and iron picks and iron axes, or sent them to the brickworks. Thus he did to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
-
besides Solomon's three thousand three hundred supervisors who were over the work, having charge of the people who did the work.
-
He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, overlaying them with gold evenly applied upon the carved work.
-
He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, whose father, a man of Tyre, had been an artisan in bronze; he was full of skill, intelligence, and knowledge in working bronze. He came to King Solomon, and did all his work.
-
There were nets of checker work with wreaths of chain work for the capitals on the tops of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
-
Now the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars in the vestibule were of lily-work, four cubits high.
-
On the tops of the pillars was lily-work. Thus the work of the pillars was finished.
-
on the borders that were set in the frames were lions, oxen, and cherubim. On the frames, both above and below the lions and oxen, there were wreaths of beveled work.
-
Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished all the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of the Lord:
-
Thus all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the Lord was finished. Solomon brought in the things that his father David had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and stored them in the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
-
These were the chief officers who were over Solomon's work: five hundred fifty, who had charge of the people who carried on the work.
-
Moreover the word of the Lord came by the prophet Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and also because he destroyed it.
-
and have hurled their gods into the fire, though they were no gods but the work of human hands—wood and stone—and so they were destroyed.
-
Because they have abandoned me and have made offerings to other gods, so that they have provoked me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.
-
But Aaron and his sons made offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense, doing all the work of the most holy place, to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
-
besides their kindred, heads of their ancestral houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty, qualified for the work of the service of the house of God.
-
Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kindred of his ancestral house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, guardians of the thresholds of the tent, as their ancestors had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, guardians of the entrance.
-
He brought out the people who were in it, and set them to work with saws and iron picks and axes. Thus David did to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
-
gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Now begin the work, and the Lord be with you."
-
"Twenty-four thousand of these," David said, "shall have charge of the work in the house of the Lord, six thousand shall be officers and judges,
-
These were the sons of Levi by their ancestral houses, the heads of families as they were enrolled according to the number of the names of the individuals from twenty years old and upward who were to do the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
-
"but their duty shall be to assist the descendants of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, having the care of the courts and the chambers, the cleansing of all that is holy, and any work for the service of the house of God;
-
David and the officers of the army also set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with lyres, harps, and cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was:
-
Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, one thousand seven hundred men of ability, had the oversight of Israel west of the Jordan for all the work of the Lord and for the service of the king.
-
Over those who did the work of the field, tilling the soil, was Ezri son of Chelub.
-
for the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and all the work of the service in the house of the Lord; for all the vessels for the service in the house of the Lord,
-
David said further to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed; for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.
-
Here are the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God; and with you in all the work will be every volunteer who has skill for any kind of service; also the officers and all the people will be wholly at your command."
-
King David said to the whole assembly, "My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great; for the temple will not be for mortals but for the Lord God.
-
and for all the work to be done by artisans, gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver. Who then will offer willingly, consecrating themselves today to the Lord?"
-
Then the leaders of ancestral houses made their freewill offerings, as did also the leaders of the tribes, the commanders of the thousands and of the hundreds, and the officers over the king's work.
-
So now send me an artisan skilled to work in gold, silver, bronze, and iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue fabrics, trained also in engraving, to join the skilled workers who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom my father David provided.
-
Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum timber from Lebanon, for I know that your servants are skilled in cutting Lebanon timber. My servants will work with your servants
-
the son of one of the Danite women, his father a Tyrian. He is trained to work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone, and wood, and in purple, blue, and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and to do all sorts of engraving and execute any design that may be assigned him, with your artisans, the artisans of my lord, your father David.
-
Seventy thousand of them he assigned as laborers, eighty thousand as stonecutters in the hill country, and three thousand six hundred as overseers to make the people work.
-
And Huram made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. Thus Huram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God:
-
Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the Lord was finished. Solomon brought in the things that his father David had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold, and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God.
-
But of the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves for his work; they were soldiers, and his officers, the commanders of his chariotry and cavalry.
-
Thus all the work of Solomon was accomplished from the day the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid until the house of the Lord was finished completely.
-
But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded."
-
When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.
-
The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who had charge of the work of the house of the Lord, and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the Lord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the Lord.
-
So those who were engaged in the work labored, and the repairing went forward at their hands, and they restored the house of God to its proper condition and strengthened it.
-
But the priests were too few and could not skin all the burnt offerings, so, until other priests had sanctified themselves, their kindred, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished—for the Levites were more conscientious than the priests in sanctifying themselves.
-
They set to work and removed the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for offering incense they took away and threw into the Wadi Kidron.
-
And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God, and in accordance with the law and the commandments, to seek his God, he did with all his heart; and he prospered.
-
Hezekiah set to work resolutely and built up the entire wall that was broken down, and raised towers on it, and outside it he built another wall; he also strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.
-
They spoke of the God of Jerusalem as if he were like the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of human hands.
-
The people did the work faithfully. Over them were appointed the Levites Jahath and Obadiah, of the sons of Merari, along with Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to have oversight. Other Levites, all skillful with instruments of music,
-
were over the burden bearers and directed all who did work in every kind of service; and some of the Levites were scribes, and officials, and gatekeepers.
-
In the second year after their arrival at the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak made a beginning, together with the rest of their people, the priests and the Levites and all who had come to Jerusalem from the captivity. They appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work on the house of the Lord.
-
At that time the work on the house of God in Jerusalem stopped and was discontinued until the second year of the reign of King Darius of Persia.
-
May it be known to the king that we went to the province of Judah, to the house of the great God. It is being built of hewn stone, and timber is laid in the walls; this work is being done diligently and prospers in their hands.
-
let the work on this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews rebuild this house of God on its site.
-
With joy they celebrated the festival of unleavened bread seven days; for the Lord had made them joyful, and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, so that he aided them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.
-
The officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing; I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, and the rest that were to do the work.
-
Then the high priest Eliashib set to work with his fellow priests and rebuilt the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set up its doors; they consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred and as far as the Tower of Hananel.
-
Next to them the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work of their Lord.
-
So we rebuilt the wall, and all the wall was joined together to half its height; for the people had a mind to work.
-
But Judah said, "The strength of the burden bearers is failing, and there is too much rubbish so that we are unable to work on the wall."
-
And our enemies said, "They will not know or see anything before we come upon them and kill them and stop the work."
-
When our enemies heard that their plot was known to us, and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his work.
-
who were building the wall. The burden bearers carried their loads in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and with the other held a weapon.
-
And I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, "The work is great and widely spread out, and we are separated far from one another on the wall.
-
So we labored at the work, and half of them held the spears from break of dawn until the stars came out.
-
Indeed, I devoted myself to the work on this wall, and acquired no land; and all my servants were gathered there for the work.
-
So I sent messengers to them, saying, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it to come down to you?"
-
—for they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, "Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done." But now, O God, strengthen my hands.
-
And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem; for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
-
Now some of the heads of ancestral houses contributed to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty priestly robes.
-
for the rows of bread, the regular grain offering, the regular burnt offering, the sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed festivals, the sacred donations, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
-
and their associates who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah son of Jeroham son of Pelaliah son of Amzi son of Zechariah son of Pashhur son of Malchijah,
-
and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the leaders of the Levites, who were over the outside work of the house of God;
-
The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani son of Hashabiah son of Mattaniah son of Mica, of the descendants of Asaph, the singers, in charge of the work of the house of God.
-
Thus I cleansed them from everything foreign, and I established the duties of the priests and Levites, each in his work;
-
Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
-
Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the schemes of the wicked?
-
You would call, and I would answer you; you would long for the work of your hands.
-
who shows no partiality to nobles, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?
-
then he declares to them their work and their transgressions, that they are behaving arrogantly.
-
"Remember to extol his work, of which mortals have sung.
-
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established;
-
The Lord has made himself known, he has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands.+p[Higgaion. Selah]
-
Repay them according to their work, and according to the evil of their deeds; repay them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.
-
Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, or the work of his hands, he will break them down and build them up no more.
-
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.
-
Deliver me from those who work evil; from the bloodthirsty save me.
-
and steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord. For you repay to all according to their work.
-
And then, with hatchets and hammers, they smashed all its carved work.
-
I will meditate on all your work, and muse on your mighty deeds.
-
Do you work wonders for the dead? Do the shades rise up to praise you? (Selah)
-
Let your work be manifest to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.
-
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands— O prosper the work of our hands!
-
For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
-
when your ancestors tested me, and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.
-
I will not set before my eyes anything that is base. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.
-
Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
-
From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.
-
People go out to their work and to their labor until the evening.
-
Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever.
-
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
-
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
-
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
-
Do not turn my heart to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with those who work iniquity; do not let me eat of their delicacies.
-
The Lord created me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of long ago.
-
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
-
Honest balances and scales are the Lord's; all the weights in the bag are his work.
-
One who is slack in work is close kin to a vandal.
-
Do you see those who are skillful in their work? They will serve kings; they will not serve common people.
-
Prepare your work outside, get everything ready for you in the field; and after that build your house.
-
For all their days are full of pain, and their work is a vexation; even at night their minds do not rest. This also is vanity.
-
For to the one who pleases him God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy; but to the sinner he gives the work of gathering and heaping, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
-
I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for he has appointed a time for every matter, and for every work.
-
So I saw that there is nothing better than that all should enjoy their work, for that is their lot; who can bring them to see what will be after them?
-
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
-
Do not let your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it was a mistake; why should God be angry at your words, and destroy the work of your hands?
-
Consider the work of God; who can make straight what he has made crooked?
-
then I saw all the work of God, that no one can find out what is happening under the sun. However much they may toil in seeking, they will not find it out; even though those who are wise claim to know, they cannot find it out.
-
Whatever your hand finds to do, do with your might; for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
-
Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.
-
His arms are rounded gold, set with jewels. His body is ivory work, encrusted with sapphires.
-
How graceful are your feet in sandals, O queenly maiden! Your rounded thighs are like jewels, the work of a master hand.
-
The strong shall become like tinder, and their work like a spark; they and their work shall burn together, with no one to quench them.
-
Their land is filled with idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their own fingers have made.
-
