Then Tattenai the governor of Coelesyria and Phoenicia, and Shethar-boznai, with their companions, following the commandments of King Darius,

did very carefully oversee the holy works, assisting the elders of the Jews and governors of the temple.

And so the holy works prospered, when Haggai and Zechariah the prophets prophesied.

And they finished these things by the commandment of the Lord God of Israel, and with the consent of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia.

And thus was the holy house finished on the three and twentieth day of the month of Adar, in the sixth year of Darius king of the Persians.
