Ezekiel 27:28

The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy
pilots.
] Or governors, as the Targum; and so the Vulgate Latin, and all the Oriental versions: the allegory of a ship wrecked is still continued: the sense is, that such should be the cry of the principal men of the city when it should be taken, that the noise of it would be heard upon the continent, and in the towns and villages belonging to Tyre, which would make the inhabitants of them tremble: or, at the sound of the cry of thy pilots the waves are moved,
or "tremble" F7; which beat very strong at the time of her fall into the sea.

26 Your oarsmen take you out to the high seas. But the east wind will break you to pieces far out at sea.
27 Your wealth, merchandise and wares, your mariners, sailors and shipwrights, your merchants and all your soldiers, and everyone else on board will sink into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck.
28 The shorelands will quake when your sailors cry out.
29 All who handle the oars will abandon their ships; the mariners and all the sailors will stand on the shore.
30 They will raise their voice and cry bitterly over you; they will sprinkle dust on their heads and roll in ashes.
