The Branch From Jesse

1 A shoot1 will come up from the stump2 of Jesse;3 from his roots a Branch4 will bear fruit.5

2 The Spirit6 of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom7 and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might,8 the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD--
