Praise the LORD.a Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, you servants1 of the LORD,
you who minister in the house2 of the LORD, in the courts3 of the house of our God.
Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good;4 sing praise to his name,5 for that is pleasant.64
For the LORD has chosen Jacob7 to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.85
I know that the LORD is great,9 that our Lord is greater than all gods.106
The LORD does whatever pleases him,11 in the heavens and on the earth,12 in the seas and all their depths.
He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain13 and brings out the wind14 from his storehouses.158
He struck down the firstborn16 of Egypt, the firstborn of people and animals.
He sent his signs17 and wonders into your midst, Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.1810
He struck down many19 nations and killed mighty kings--
Sihon20 king of the Amorites,21 Og king of Bashan,22 and all the kings of Canaan23--
and he gave their land as an inheritance,24 an inheritance to his people Israel.
Your name, LORD, endures forever,25 your renown,26 LORD, through all generations.
For the LORD will vindicate his people27 and relent concerning his servants.2815
The idols of the nations29 are silver and gold, made by human hands.3016
They have mouths, but cannot speak,31 eyes, but cannot see.
They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath32 in their mouths.
Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
House of Israel, praise the LORD;33 house of Aaron, praise the LORD;
house of Levi, praise the LORD; you who fear him, praise the LORD.
Praise be to the LORD from Zion,34 to him who dwells in Jerusalem.35 Praise the LORD.
