It seems interesting that we refer to the day Christ died as "Good Friday." Considering the events of the day, tragic or awful seems more appropriate. However, we ultimately know what God was up to that day. Though the events seemed very BAD, God was using everything that happened for GOOD.
Greg Laurie teaches how the cross was Christ's goal and destination from the very beginning.
It's hard to envision the world without social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter--platforms that allow us to share information, memories and continue relationships like never before in history. Imagine if social networking existed around 33 A.D.--the most pivotal moment of history. The world tells us that work is just a means to more comfort ... more stuff ... more me. TV shows and even our misdirected language in the church have hijacked our view of work and belittled it to mundane and meaningless. Our mission is to help people see their work differently, to help people see their work as an opportunity to worship the God who created them. It's asking people to TRADE in a distorted view of work that is just a means to an end.

In the tornadoes that hit the Midwest recently, one touching story arose from the tragedy. God brought Baby Aiden into this world at the precise moment that a devastating tornado tore through the home they would have been at that very moment. The tornado completely leveled their house and had they been inside, it likely would have taken their lives. Even in the face of devastation, this family praises God for their protection and they embrace their blessings after they lost everything.
