Mark 13:7

7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don't be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

Mark 13:7 Meaning and Commentary

Mark 13:7

And when ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars
Among the Jews themselves, and with the Romans:

be not troubled;
keep your place, abide by your work, go on preaching the Gospel, without distressing yourselves about the event of things:

for [such things] must needs be:
being decreed by God, foretold by Christ, and made necessary by the sins of the people:

but the end shall not be yet;
of the temple, of Jerusalem, and of the Jewish state and nation; (See Gill on Matthew 24:6).

Mark 13:7 In-Context

5 Jesus, answering, began to tell them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.
6 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and will lead many astray.
7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don't be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. Before governors and kings will you stand for my sake, for a testimony to them.
