Psalms 26:10 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 26:10

In whose hands [is] mischief
Every abominable wickedness; as idolatry, adultery, murder the word signifies and is sometimes used for mischief conceived in the mind, artificially devised and contrived there; here mischief committed, the hand being the instrument of action, and intends whatever is prejudicial to the person, character, and properties of men;

and their right hand is full of bribes;
whereby the eyes of judges are blinded, the words of the righteous perverted, men's persons respected, and judgment wrested, ( Deuteronomy 16:19 ) .

Psalms 26:10 In-Context

8 Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, The place where your glory dwells.
9 Don't gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men;
10 In whose hands is wickedness, Their right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me.
12 My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations will I bless Yahweh.
