1The Lord declared to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool." 2The Lord will extend Your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over Your surrounding enemies. 3Your people will volunteer on Your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of Your youth belongs to You. 4The Lord has sworn an oath and will not take it back: "Forever, You are a priest like Melchizedek." 5The Lord is at Your right hand; He will crush kings on the day of His anger. 6He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses; He will crush leaders over the entire world. 7He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore, He will lift up His head.
1Hallelujah! I will praise the Lord with all my heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. 2The Lord's works are great, studied by all who delight in them. 3All that He does is splendid and majestic; His righteousness endures forever. 4He has caused His wonderful works to be remembered. The Lord is gracious and compassionate. 5He has provided food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. 6He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the inheritance of the nations. 7The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His instructions are trustworthy. 8They are established forever and ever, enacted in truth and uprightness. 9He has sent redemption to His people. He has ordained His covenant forever. His name is holy and awe-inspiring. 10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.
1Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commandments. 2His descendants will be powerful in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. 4Light shines in the darkness for the upright. He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous. 5Good will come to a man who lends generously and conducts his business fairly. 6He will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever. 7He will not fear bad news; his heart is confident, trusting in the Lord. 8His heart is assured; he will not fear. In the end he will look in triumph on his foes. 9He distributes freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted in honor. 10The wicked man will see [it] and be angry; he will gnash his teeth in despair. The desire of the wicked will come to nothing.
1It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even condoned among the Gentiles-a man is living with his father's wife.2And you are inflated with pride, instead of filled with grief so that he who has committed this act might be removed from among you.3For though absent in body but present in spirit, I have already decided about him who has done this thing as though I were present.4In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, along with my spirit and with the power of our Lord Jesus,5turn that one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord. 6Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough?7Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.8Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-10by no means referring to this world's immoral people, or to the greedy and swindlers, or to idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.11But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a reviler, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.12For what is it to me to judge outsiders? Do you not judge those who are inside?13But God judges outsiders. Put away the evil person from among yourselves.
