John 17:10-20

10 ¹All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and ²I am glorified in them.

11 And I am no longer in the world, but ³they are in the world, and ⁴I am coming to you. ⁵Holy Father, ⁶keep them in your name, ⁷which you have given me, ⁸that they may be one, ⁹even as we are one.

12 ¹⁰While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have ¹¹guarded them, and ¹²not one of them has been lost except ¹³the son of destruction, ¹⁴that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 But now ¹⁵I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have ¹⁶my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 ¹⁷I have given them your word, and ¹⁸the world has hated them ¹⁹because they are not of the world, ²⁰just as I am not of the world.

15 I ²¹do not ask that you ²²take them out of the world, but that you ²³keep them from ²⁴the evil one. ^[a]

16 ²⁵They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

17 ²⁶Sanctify them^[b] in the truth; ²⁷your word is truth.

18 ²⁸As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

19 And ²⁹for their sake ³⁰I consecrate myself, ^[c] that they also ³¹may be sanctified^[d] in truth.

20 “I do not ³²ask for these only, but also for those ³³who will believe in me through their word,
