And
1she saw
2two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.
13
They said to her,
3“Woman, why are you weeping? ” She said to them,
4“They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him. ”
14
Having said this, she turned around and
5saw Jesus standing,
6but she did not know that it was Jesus.
15
Jesus said to her,
7“Woman, why are you weeping?
8Whom are you seeking? ”Supposing him to be
9the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away. ”
16
Jesus said to her, “Mary. ”She turned and said to him in Aramaic,
10“Rabboni! ” (which means Teacher).
17
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to
11my brothers and say to them,
12‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to
13my God and your God. ’”

Mary Magdalene
14went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her.
Jesus Appears to the Disciples
19 15On the evening
16of that day, the first day of the week,
17the doors being locked where the disciples were
18for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,
19“Peace be with you. ”
20
When he had said this,
20he showed them his hands and his side. Then
21the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
21
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As
22the Father has sent me,
23even so I am sending you. ”
22
And when he had said this, he
24breathed on them and said to them,
25“Receive the Holy Spirit.
