having a goldenaltar of incense and the ark of the covenantcovered on allsides with gold, in which was a goldenjarholding the manna, and Aaron'srod which budded, and the tables of the covenant;

but into the second, only the highpriest enters once a year, not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.

But when Christappeared as a highpriest of the goodthings to come, He entered through the greater and moreperfecttabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of thiscreation;

howmuchmore will the blood of Christ, whothrough the eternalSpiritofferedHimselfwithoutblemish to God, cleanse your conscience from deadworks to serve the livingGod?

For thisreason He is the mediator of a newcovenant, so that, since a death has takenplace for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the firstcovenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternalinheritance.

soChristalso, having been offeredonce to bear the sins of many, will appear a secondtime for salvationwithout reference to sin, to those who eagerlyawait Him.
