Let the brother of low degreerejoice[a]in that he is exalted:

But the rich,in that he is made low:becauseas the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

For the sun is no sooner risenwith a burning heat,but it withereth the grass,and the flowerthereoffalleth, and the grace of the fashion of itperisheth: soalsoshall the rich man fade awayinhisways.

Blessed is the manthatendurethtemptation:for when he is tried*, he shall receive the crown of life,which the Lord hath promised to them that lovehim.

Let no mansay when he is tempted*, I am temptedofGod:forGod cannot be tempted* with evil,[b]neithertemptethhe* any man:

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn awayof his ownlust,andenticed.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forthsin:andsin, when it is finished, bringeth forthdeath.
