aHe is the 1image of the 2invisible God, the 3firstborn of all creation.
For b4by Him all things were created, 5both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 6thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -7all things have been created through Him and for Him.
He c8is before all things, and in Him all things dhold together.
He is also 9head of 10the body, the church; and He is 11the beginning, 12the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
For eit was 13the Father's good pleasure for all 14the ffullness to dwell in Him,
and through Him to 15reconcile all things to Himself, having made 16peace through 17the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 18whether things on earth or things in gheaven.
And although you were 19formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
yet He has now 20reconciled you in His fleshly 21body through death, in order to 22present you before Him 23holy and blameless and beyond reproach -
if indeed you continue in hthe faith firmly 24established and steadfast, and not moved away from the 25hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed 26in all creation under heaven, 27and of which I, Paul, iwas made a j28minister.
29Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh 30I kdo my share on behalf of 31His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking lin Christ's afflictions.
32Of this church I mwas made a minister according to the 33stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might nfully carry out the preaching of the word of God,
that is, 34the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His osaints,
to whom 35God willed to make known what is 36the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is 37Christ in you, the 38hope of glory.
For this purpose also I 43labor, 44striving 45according to His rpower, which smightily works within me.
