Young's Literal Translation
"So in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will be overthrown;
"Moses was educated in all the learning of the Egyptians, and he was a man of power in words and deeds.
"At that time they made a calf and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and were rejoicing in the works of their hands.
Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated in Greek is called Dorcas ); this woman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she continually did.
While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
'BEHOLD, YOU SCOFFERS, AND MARVEL, AND PERISH; FOR I AM ACCOMPLISHING A WORK IN YOUR DAYS, A WORK WHICH YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE, THOUGH SOMEONE SHOULD DESCRIBE IT TO YOU.' "
From there they sailed to Antioch, from which they had been commended to the grace of God for the work that they had accomplished.
But Paul kept insisting that they should not take him along who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work.
but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.
