Therefore I swore to the house of Eli, ‘The guilt of Eli’s house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.’ ”
15 Samuel, vocero del Señor<br />Entonces Samuel se quedó en la cama hasta la mañana; luego se levantó y abrió las puertas del tabernáculo,<br /> como de costumbre. Tenía miedo de contarle a Elí lo que el Señor<br /> le había dicho.

Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the LORD. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision,
16 Pero Elí lo llamó:<br />—Samuel, hijo mío.<br />—Aquí estoy —respondió Samuel.

but Eli called him and said, “Samuel, my son.” Samuel answered, “Here I am.”
17 —¿Qué te dijo el Señor<br />? Dímelo todo. ¡Y que el Señor<br /> te castigue, y aun te mate, si me ocultas algo!

“What was it he said to you?” Eli asked. “Do not hide it from me. May God deal with you, be it ever so severely, if you hide from me anything he told you.”
18 Entonces Samuel le contó todo a Elí; no le ocultó nada.<br />—Es la voluntad del Señor<br /> —respondió Elí—. Que él haga lo que mejor le parezca.

So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the LORD; let him do what is good in his eyes.”
19 El Señor<br /> estaba con Samuel mientras crecía, y todo lo que Samuel decía se cumplía.

The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
20 Entonces todo Israel, desde Dan en el norte hasta Beerseba en el sur, supo que Samuel había sido confirmado como profeta del Señor<br />.

And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the LORD.
21 El Señor<br /> siguió apareciéndose en Silo y le daba mensajes a Samuel allí en el tabernáculo.

The LORD continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.
