9 O Senhor não retarda a sua promessa, ainda que alguns a têm por tardia; porém é longânimo para convosco, não querendo que ninguém se perca, senão que todos venham a arrepender-se.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
