Colossians 3:1-11

NIV 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. NRS 1 So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. NIV 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. NRS 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, NIV 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. NRS 3 for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. NIV 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. NRS 4 When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. NIV 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. NRS 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). NIV 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. NRS 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient. NIV 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. NRS 7 These are the ways you also once followed, when you were living that life. NIV 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. NRS 8 But now you must get rid of all such things—anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive language from your mouth. NIV 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices NRS 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices NIV 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. NRS 10 and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. NIV 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. NRS 11 In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all!
