CEBA 1 Moses gathered together the whole Israelite community and said to them: These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do: NIV 1 Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do: CEBA 2 Do your work for six days, but the seventh day should be holy to you, a Sabbath of complete rest for the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath will be put to death. NIV 2 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death. CEBA 3 Don't start a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day. NIV 3 Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.” CEBA 4 Moses said to the whole Israelite community, This is what the LORD has commanded: NIV 4 Moses said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the LORD has commanded: CEBA 5 Collect gift offerings for the LORD from all of you. Whoever freely wants to give should bring the LORD's gift offerings: gold, silver, and copper; NIV 5 From what you have, take an offering for the LORD. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the LORD an offering of gold, silver and bronze; CEBA 6 blue, purple, and deep red yarns; fine linen; goats' hair; NIV 6 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; CEBA 7 rams' skins dyed red; beaded leather; acacia wood; NIV 7 ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather ; acacia wood; CEBA 8 the oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet-smelling incense; NIV 8 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; CEBA 9 gemstones; and gems for setting in the priest's vest and in the priest's chest pendant. NIV 9 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. CEBA 10 All of you who are skilled in crafts should come forward and make everything that the LORD has commanded: NIV 10 “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the LORD has commanded: CEBA 11 the dwelling, its tent and its covering, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its posts, and its bases, NIV 11 the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases; CEBA 12 the chest with its poles and its cover, the veil for a screen, NIV 12 the ark with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain that shields it; CEBA 13 the table with its poles and all its equipment, the bread of the presence, NIV 13 the table with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence; CEBA 14 the lampstand for light with its equipment and its lamps, the oil for the light, NIV 14 the lampstand that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light; CEBA 15 the incense altar with its poles, the anointing oil and the sweet-smelling incense, the entrance screen for the dwelling's entrance, NIV 15 the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense; the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle; CEBA 16 the altar for entirely burned offerings with its copper grate, its poles, and all its equipment, the washbasin with its stand, NIV 16 the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the bronze basin with its stand; CEBA 17 the courtyard's drapes, its posts, and its bases, and the screen for the courtyard gate, NIV 17 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; CEBA 18 the dwelling's tent pegs and the courtyard's tent pegs, and their cords, NIV 18 the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes; CEBA 19 the woven clothing for ministering in the sanctuary, and the holy clothes for Aaron the priest and his sons for their service as priests. NIV 19 the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary—both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.” CEBA 20 The whole Israelite community left Moses. NIV 20 Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence, CEBA 21 Everyone who was excited and eager to participate brought the LORD's gift offerings to be used for building the meeting tent and all its furnishings and for the holy clothes. NIV 21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. CEBA 22 Both men and women came forward. Everyone who was eager to participate brought pins, earrings, rings, and necklaces, all sorts of gold objects. Everyone raised an uplifted offering of gold to the LORD. NIV 22 All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD. CEBA 23 And everyone who had blue or purple or deep red yarn or fine linen or goats' hair or rams' skins dyed red or beaded leather brought them. NIV 23 Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them. CEBA 24 Everyone who could make a gift offering of silver or copper brought it as the LORD's gift offering. Everyone who had acacia wood that could be used in any kind of building work brought it. NIV 24 Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the LORD, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. CEBA 25 All the skilled women spun cloth with their hands, and brought what they had spun in blue and purple and deep red yarns and fine linen. NIV 25 Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. CEBA 26 All the women who were eager to use their skill spun the goats' hair. NIV 26 And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. CEBA 27 The chiefs brought gemstones and gems to be set in the priest's vest and the chest pendant, NIV 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. CEBA 28 spices and oil for light and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet-smelling incense. NIV 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. CEBA 29 All the Israelite men and women who were eager to contribute something for the work that the LORD had commanded Moses to do brought it as a spontaneous gift to the LORD. NIV 29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do. CEBA 30 Then Moses said to the Israelites: “Look, the LORD has chosen Bezalel, Uri's son and Hur's grandson from the tribe of Judah. NIV 30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, CEBA 31 The LORD has filled him with the divine spirit that will give him skill, ability, and knowledge for every kind of work. NIV 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— CEBA 32 He will be able to create designs, do metalwork in gold, silver, and copper, NIV 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, CEBA 33 cut stones for setting, carve wood, do every kind of creative work, NIV 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. CEBA 34 and have the ability to teach others. Both he and Oholiab, Ahisamach's son from the tribe of Dan, NIV 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.
