CEB 1 If the offering is a communal sacrifice of well-being, the one who offers the herd animal—whether it is male or female—must present a flawless specimen before the LORD. NRS 1 If the offering is a sacrifice of well-being, if you offer an animal of the herd, whether male or female, you shall offer one without blemish before the Lord. CEB 2 You must press your hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the meeting tent's entrance. Aaron's sons the priests will toss the blood against every side of the altar. NRS 2 You shall lay your hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons the priests shall dash the blood against all sides of the altar. CEB 3 Then you can offer a food gift to the LORD from the communal sacrifice of well-being: the fat that covers and surrounds the insides; NRS 3 You shall offer from the sacrifice of well-being, as an offering by fire to the Lord, the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is around the entrails; CEB 4 the two kidneys and the fat around them at the loins; and the lobe on the liver, which should be removed with the kidneys. NRS 4 the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys. CEB 5 Aaron's sons will completely burn all of this on the altar—along with the entirely burned offering on the wood that is on the altar fire—as a food gift of soothing smell to the LORD. NRS 5 Then Aaron's sons shall turn these into smoke on the altar, with the burnt offering that is on the wood on the fire, as an offering by fire of pleasing odor to the Lord. CEB 6 If the offering for a communal sacrifice of well-being for the LORD is from the flock—whether it is male or female—you must present a flawless specimen. NRS 6 If your offering for a sacrifice of well-being to the Lord is from the flock, male or female, you shall offer one without blemish. CEB 7 If you present a sheep as the offering, you must present it before the LORD. NRS 7 If you present a sheep as your offering, you shall bring it before the Lord CEB 8 You must press your hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it before the meeting tent. Aaron's sons will toss the blood against every side of the altar. NRS 8 and lay your hand on the head of the offering. It shall be slaughtered before the tent of meeting, and Aaron's sons shall dash its blood against all sides of the altar. CEB 9 Then you may offer the fat from the communal sacrifice of well-being as a food gift for the LORD: the whole fat tail, which should be removed close to the tailbone; the fat that covers and surrounds the insides; NRS 9 You shall present its fat from the sacrifice of well-being, as an offering by fire to the Lord: the whole broad tail, which shall be removed close to the backbone, the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is around the entrails; CEB 10 the two kidneys and the fat around them at the loins; and the lobe on the liver, which should be removed with the kidneys. NRS 10 the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver, which you shall remove with the kidneys. CEB 11 The priest will then completely burn all of this on the altar as food—as a food gift for the LORD. NRS 11 Then the priest shall turn these into smoke on the altar as a food offering by fire to the Lord. CEB 12 If the offering is a goat, you must present it before the LORD. NRS 12 If your offering is a goat, you shall bring it before the Lord CEB 13 You must press your hand on its head and slaughter it before the meeting tent. Aaron's sons will toss its blood against every side of the altar. NRS 13 and lay your hand on its head; it shall be slaughtered before the tent of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall dash its blood against all sides of the altar. CEB 14 Then you may present as your offering—a food gift for the LORD—the fat that covers and surrounds the insides; NRS 14 You shall present as your offering from it, as an offering by fire to the Lord, the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is around the entrails; CEB 15 the two kidneys and the fat around them at the loins; and the lobe on the liver, which should be removed with the kidneys. NRS 15 the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver, which you shall remove with the kidneys. CEB 16 The priest will then completely burn all of this on the altar as food—as a food gift for a soothing smell. All fat belongs to the LORD. NRS 16 Then the priest shall turn these into smoke on the altar as a food offering by fire for a pleasing odor. All fat is the Lord's. CEB 17 This is a permanent rule for your future generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or blood. NRS 17 It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, in all your settlements: you must not eat any fat or any blood.
