NIV 3 and gather the entire assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting.” GW 4 Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the congregation gathered at the entrance to the tent of meeting. NIV 4 Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the tent of meeting. GW 5 Moses told the congregation, "The LORD has commanded that this is what you must do." NIV 5 Moses said to the assembly, “This is what the LORD has commanded to be done.” GW 6 Moses had Aaron and his sons come forward, and he washed them. NIV 6 Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water. GW 7 He put the linen robe on Aaron and fastened the belt around him. He also dressed him in the robe that is worn with the ephod. He fastened the ephod to it. NIV 7 He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him. He also fastened the ephod with a decorative waistband, which he tied around him. GW 8 Then he put the breastplate on him, and into it he placed the Urim and Thummim. NIV 8 He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece. GW 9 He put the turban on him and fastened the gold medallion (the holy crown) to the front of the turban as the LORD had commanded Moses. NIV 9 Then he placed the turban on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the sacred emblem, on the front of it, as the LORD commanded Moses. GW 10 Moses took the anointing oil to anoint the tent and everything in it and dedicate them. NIV 10 Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and so consecrated them. GW 11 He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times and anointed the altar, all the utensils, and the basin with its stand to dedicate them. NIV 11 He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointing the altar and all its utensils and the basin with its stand, to consecrate them. NIV 12 He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him to consecrate him. GW 13 Moses had Aaron's sons come forward. He put linen robes on them, fastened their belts around them, and put turbans on them as the LORD had commanded Moses. NIV 13 Then he brought Aaron’s sons forward, put tunics on them, tied sashes around them and fastened caps on them, as the LORD commanded Moses. GW 14 He brought the bull that was the offering for sin. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on its head. NIV 14 He then presented the bull for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. GW 15 When it was slaughtered, Moses took the blood and put it on the horns of the altar all around with his finger and cleansed the altar from sins. He poured the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar and declared it holy so that priests could use it to make peace with the LORD. NIV 15 Moses slaughtered the bull and took some of the blood, and with his finger he put it on all the horns of the altar to purify the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. So he consecrated it to make atonement for it. GW 16 Moses took all the fat that was on the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and he burned them on the altar. NIV 16 Moses also took all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and both kidneys and their fat, and burned it on the altar. GW 17 He burned the rest of the bull, its skin, meat, and excrement outside the camp, as the LORD commanded him. NIV 17 But the bull with its hide and its flesh and its intestines he burned up outside the camp, as the LORD commanded Moses. GW 18 He brought forward the ram for the burnt offering. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the ram's head. NIV 18 He then presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. GW 19 Moses slaughtered it and threw the blood against the altar on all sides. NIV 19 Then Moses slaughtered the ram and splashed the blood against the sides of the altar. GW 20 When the ram was cut into pieces, Moses burned the head with the other pieces and the fat. NIV 20 He cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces and the fat. GW 21 He washed the internal organs and the legs. Then Moses burned the whole ram on the altar as the LORD commanded him. It was a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. NIV 21 He washed the internal organs and the legs with water and burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses. GW 22 He brought forward the second ram for the ordination offering. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the ram's head. NIV 22 He then presented the other ram, the ram for the ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. GW 23 Moses slaughtered it, took some of the blood, and put it on Aaron's right ear lobe, on his right thumb, and on the big toe of his right foot. NIV 23 Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. GW 24 Moses also brought Aaron's sons forward. He put some of the blood on their right ear lobes, on their right thumbs, and on the big toes of their right feet. Moses threw the rest of the blood against all the sides of the altar. NIV 24 Moses also brought Aaron’s sons forward and put some of the blood on the lobes of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet. Then he splashed blood against the sides of the altar. GW 25 He took the fat, the fat from the tail, all the fat on the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with their fat, and the right thigh. NIV 25 After that, he took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, both kidneys and their fat and the right thigh. GW 26 He took a loaf of unleavened bread, a ring of bread made with olive oil, and a wafer from the basket of unleavened bread which was in the LORD's presence. He put them on the fat and the right thigh. NIV 26 And from the basket of bread made without yeast, which was before the LORD, he took one thick loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf, and he put these on the fat portions and on the right thigh. GW 27 Then he placed all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Moses presented all these things to the LORD as an offering. NIV 27 He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and they waved them before the LORD as a wave offering. GW 28 Then he took them from their hands and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar. These were ordination offerings, offerings by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD. NIV 28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar on top of the burnt offering as an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD. GW 29 Moses also took the breast from the ram of the ordination offering and presented it to the LORD. It was Moses' share, as the LORD had commanded. NIV 29 Moses also took the breast, which was his share of the ordination ram, and waved it before the LORD as a wave offering, as the LORD commanded Moses. GW 30 Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar, sprinkled it on Aaron and his clothes and on his sons and their clothes. In this way he dedicated Aaron, his clothes, his sons, and their clothes. NIV 30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments. GW 31 Moses told Aaron and his sons: "Cook the meat at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Take the meat and the bread in the basket of the ordination offering. Eat them there as I commanded when I said, 'Aaron and his sons will eat it.' NIV 31 Moses then said to Aaron and his sons, “Cook the meat at the entrance to the tent of meeting and eat it there with the bread from the basket of ordination offerings, as I was commanded: ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’ GW 32 You must burn any meat or bread that is left over. NIV 32 Then burn up the rest of the meat and the bread. GW 33 You will not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, not until the last day of your ordination is over. It will take seven days to ordain you. NIV 33 Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for your ordination will last seven days. GW 34 I did today what the LORD commanded me to make peace with the LORD for you. NIV 34 What has been done today was commanded by the LORD to make atonement for you. GW 35 You will stay at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and serve as the LORD tells you. Then you will not die. This is what I was commanded." NIV 35 You must stay at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and do what the LORD requires, so you will not die; for that is what I have been commanded.” GW 36 So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD commanded through Moses. NIV 36 So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD commanded through Moses.
