NIV 1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, NRS 1 When they were approaching Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples NIV 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. NIV 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’ ” NRS 3 If anyone says to you, "Why are you doing this?' just say this, "The Lord needs it and will send it back here immediately.' " NIV 4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, NRS 4 They went away and found a colt tied near a door, outside in the street. As they were untying it, NIV 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” NRS 5 some of the bystanders said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?" NIV 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. NRS 6 They told them what Jesus had said; and they allowed them to take it.
