1 Salmo 102<br />Oración de quien está abrumado de problemas y se desahoga ante el Señor<br />.<br />S<br />, ¡oye mi oración!<br />¡Escucha mi ruego!

Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you.
2 No te alejes de mí<br />en el tiempo de mi angustia.<br />Inclínate para escuchar<br />y no tardes en responderme cuando te llamo.

Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.
3 Pues mis días desaparecen como el humo,<br />y los huesos me arden como carbones al rojo vivo.

For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers.
4 Tengo el corazón angustiado, marchito como la hierba,<br />y perdí el apetito.

My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.
5 Por mi gemir,<br />quedé reducido a piel y huesos.

In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones.
6 Soy como un búho en el desierto,<br />como un búho pequeño en un lugar remoto y desolado.

I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.
7 Me acuesto y sigo despierto,<br />como un pájaro solitario en el tejado.

I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof.
8 Mis enemigos se burlan de mí día tras día;<br />se mofan de mí y me maldicen.

All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse.
9 Me alimento de cenizas;<br />las lágrimas corren por mis mejillas y se mezclan con mi bebida,

For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears
10 a causa de tu enojo y de tu ira,<br />pues me levantaste y me echaste.

because of your great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
11 Mi vida pasa tan rápido como las sombras de la tarde;<br />voy marchitándome como hierba.

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
12 Pero tú, oh Señor<br />, te sentarás en tu trono para siempre;<br />tu fama durará por todas las generaciones.

But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.
13 Te levantarás y tendrás misericordia de Jerusalén;<br />ya es tiempo de tener compasión de ella,<br />ahora es el momento en que prometiste ayudar.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
14 Pues tu pueblo ama cada piedra de sus murallas<br />y atesora hasta el polvo de sus calles.

For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.
15 Entonces las naciones temblarán ante el Señor<br />;<br />los reyes de la tierra temblarán ante su gloria.

The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
16 Pues el Señor<br /> reconstruirá Jerusalén;<br />él aparecerá en su gloria.

For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.
17 Escuchará las oraciones de los desposeídos;<br />no rechazará sus ruegos.

He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
18 Que esto quede registrado para las generaciones futuras,<br />para que un pueblo aún no nacido alabe al Señor<br />.

Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD:
19 Cuéntenles que el Señor<br /> miró hacia abajo,<br />desde su santuario celestial.<br />Desde los cielos miró la tierra

“The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 para escuchar los gemidos de los prisioneros,<br />para poner en libertad a los condenados a muerte.

to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.”
21 Por eso la fama del Señor<br /> se celebrará en Sión,<br />y sus alabanzas en Jerusalén,

So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem
22 cuando las multitudes se reúnan<br />y los reinos vengan a adorar al Señor<br />.

when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.
23 En la mitad de mi vida, me quebró las fuerzas,<br />y así acortó mis días.

In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut short my days.
24 Pero clamé a él: «Oh mi Dios, el que vive para siempre,<br />¡no me quites la vida en la flor de mi juventud!

So I said: “Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.
25 Hace mucho tiempo echaste los cimientos de la tierra<br />y con tus manos formaste los cielos.

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 Ellos dejarán de existir, pero tú permaneces para siempre;<br />se desgastarán como ropa vieja.<br />Tú los cambiarás<br />y los desecharás como si fueran ropa.

They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
27 Pero tú siempre eres el mismo;<br />tú vivirás para siempre.

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
28 Los hijos de tu pueblo<br />vivirán seguros;<br />los hijos de sus hijos<br />prosperarán en tu presencia».

The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”
