1 Bendiga o SENHOR a minha alma!Bendiga o SENHOR todo o meu ser!

1 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Bendiga o SENHOR a minha alma!Não esqueça nenhuma de suas bênçãos!

2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—

3 É ele que perdoa todos os seus pecadose cura todas as suas doenças,

3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

4 que resgata a sua vida da sepulturae o coroa de bondade e compaixão,

4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 que enche de bens a sua existência,de modo que a sua juventude se renova como a águia.

5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 O SENHOR faz justiçae defende a causa dos oprimidos.

6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

7 Ele manifestou os seus caminhos a Moisés;os seus feitos, aos israelitas.

7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 O SENHOR é compassivo e misericordioso,mui paciente e cheio de amor.

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 Não acusa sem cessarnem fica ressentido para sempre;

9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 não nos trata conforme os nossos pecadosnem nos retribui conforme as nossas iniquidades.

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 Pois como os céus se elevam acima da terra,assim é grande o seu amor para com os que o temem;

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 e como o Oriente está longe do Ocidente,assim ele afasta para longe de nós as nossas transgressões.

12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Como um pai tem compaixão de seus filhos,assim o SENHOR tem compaixão dos que o temem;

13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14 pois ele sabe do que somos formados;lembra-se de que somos pó.

14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

15 A vida do homem é semelhante à relva;ele floresce como a flor do campo,

15 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;

16 que se vai quando sopra o vento;tampouco se sabe mais o lugar que ocupava.

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

17 Mas o amor leal do SENHOR,o seu amor eterno, está com os que o tememe a sua justiça com os filhos dos seus filhos,

17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—

18 com os que guardam a sua aliançae se lembram de obedecer aos seus preceitos.

18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

19 O SENHOR estabeleceu o seu trono nos céus,e como rei domina sobre tudo o que existe.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Bendigam o SENHOR,vocês, seus anjos poderosos,que obedecem à sua palavra.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

21 Bendigam o SENHOR todos os seus exércitos,vocês, seus servos, que cumprem a sua vontade.

21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.

22 Bendigam o SENHOR todas as suas obrasem todos os lugares do seu domínio.Bendiga o SENHOR a minha alma!

22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.
