always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Las mujeres estén sometidas a sus propios maridos como al Señor.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.
23 Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia, siendo El mismo el Salvador del cuerpo.

For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
24 Pero así como la iglesia está sujeta a Cristo, también las mujeres deben estarlo a sus maridos en todo.

Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó a la iglesia y se dio a sí mismo por ella,

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
26 para santificarla, habiéndola purificado por el lavamiento del agua con la palabra,

to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 a fin de presentársela a sí mismo, una iglesia en toda su gloria, sin que tenga mancha ni arruga ni cosa semejante, sino que fuera santa e inmaculada.

and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 Así también deben amar los maridos a sus mujeres, como a sus propios cuerpos. El que ama a su mujer, a sí mismo se ama.

In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 Porque nadie aborreció jamás su propio cuerpo, sino que lo sustenta y lo cuida, así como también Cristo a la iglesia;

After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—
30 porque somos miembros de su cuerpo.

for we are members of his body.
