KJV 8 Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. NIV 8 “Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat loaf not turned over. KJV 9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. NIV 9 Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. KJV 10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this. NIV 10 Israel’s arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him. KJV 11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. NIV 11 “Ephraim is like a dove, easily deceived and senseless— now calling to Egypt, now turning to Assyria.
