1 那 时 希 西 家 病 得 要 死 ， 亚 摩 斯 的 儿 子 先 知 以 赛 亚 去 见 他 ， 对 他 说 ： 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 你 当 留 遗 命 与 你 的 家 ， 因 为 你 必 死 不 能 活 了 。

In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”
2 希 西 家 就 转 脸 朝 墙 ， 祷 告 耶 和 华 说 ：

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
3 耶 和 华 啊 ， 求 你 记 念 我 在 你 面 前 怎 样 存 完 全 的 心 ， 按 诚 实 行 事 ， 又 做 你 眼 中 所 看 为 善 的 。 希 西 家 就 痛 哭 了 。

“Remember, LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 以 赛 亚 说 ：

Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah:
5 你 去 告 诉 希 西 家 说 ， 耶 和 华 ─ 你 祖 大 卫 的 神 如 此 说 ： 我 听 见 了 你 的 祷 告 ， 看 见 了 你 的 眼 泪 。 我 必 加 增 你 十 五 年 的 寿 数 ；

“Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.
6 并 且 我 要 救 你 和 这 城 脱 离 亚 述 王 的 手 ， 也 要 保 护 这 城 。

And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
7 我 ─ 耶 和 华 必 成 就 我 所 说 的 。 我 先 给 你 一 个 兆 头 ，

“ ‘This is the LORD’s sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised:
8 就 是 叫 亚 哈 斯 的 日 晷 ， 向 前 进 的 日 影 往 後 退 十 度 。 於 是 ， 前 进 的 日 影 果 然 在 日 晷 上 往 後 退 了 十 度 。

I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.’ ” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
9 犹 大 王 希 西 家 患 病 已 经 痊 愈 ， 就 作 诗 说 ：

10 我 说 ： 正 在 我 中 年 （ 或 译 ： 晌 午 ） 之 日 必 进 入 阴 间 的 门 ； 我 馀 剩 的 年 岁 不 得 享 受 。

I said, “In the prime of my life must I go through the gates of death and be robbed of the rest of my years?”
11 我 说 ： 我 必 不 得 见 耶 和 华 ， 就 是 在 活 人 之 地 不 见 耶 和 华 ； 我 与 世 上 的 居 民 不 再 见 面 。

I said, “I will not again see the LORD himself in the land of the living; no longer will I look on my fellow man, or be with those who now dwell in this world.
12 我 的 住 处 被 迁 去 离 开 我 ， 好 像 牧 人 的 帐 棚 一 样 ； 我 将 性 命 卷 起 ， 像 织 布 的 卷 布 一 样 。 耶 和 华 必 将 我 从 机 头 剪 断 ， 从 早 到 晚 ， 他 要 使 我 完 结 。

Like a shepherd’s tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.
13 我 使 自 己 安 静 直 到 天 亮 ； 他 像 狮 子 折 断 我 一 切 的 骨 头 ， 从 早 到 晚 ， 他 要 使 我 完 结 。

I waited patiently till dawn, but like a lion he broke all my bones; day and night you made an end of me.
14 我 像 燕 子 呢 喃 ， 像 白 鹤 鸣 叫 ， 又 像 鸽 子 哀 鸣 ； 我 因 仰 观 ， 眼 睛 困 倦 。 耶 和 华 啊 ， 我 受 欺 压 ， 求 你 为 我 作 保 。

I cried like a swift or thrush, I moaned like a mourning dove. My eyes grew weak as I looked to the heavens. I am being threatened; Lord, come to my aid!”
15 我 可 说 甚 麽 呢 ？ 他 应 许 我 的 ， 也 给 我 成 就 了 。 我 因 心 里 的 苦 楚 ， 在 一 生 的 年 日 必 悄 悄 而 行 。

But what can I say? He has spoken to me, and he himself has done this. I will walk humbly all my years because of this anguish of my soul.
16 主 啊 ， 人 得 存 活 乃 在 乎 此 。 我 灵 存 活 也 全 在 此 。 所 以 求 你 使 我 痊 愈 ， 仍 然 存 活 。

Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.
17 看 哪 ， 我 受 大 苦 ， 本 为 使 我 得 平 安 ； 你 因 爱 我 的 灵 魂 （ 或 译 ： 生 命 ） 便 救 我 脱 离 败 坏 的 坑 ， 因 为 你 将 我 一 切 的 罪 扔 在 你 的 背 後 。

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.
18 原 来 ， 阴 间 不 能 称 谢 你 ， 死 亡 不 能 颂 扬 你 ； 下 坑 的 人 不 能 盼 望 你 的 诚 实 。

For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
19 只 有 活 人 ， 活 人 必 称 谢 你 ， 像 我 今 日 称 谢 你 一 样 。 为 父 的 ， 必 使 儿 女 知 道 你 的 诚 实 。

The living, the living—they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness.
20 耶 和 华 肯 救 我 ， 所 以 ， 我 们 要 一 生 一 世 在 耶 和 华 殿 中 用 丝 弦 的 乐 器 唱 我 的 诗 歌 。

The LORD will save me, and we will sing with stringed instruments all the days of our lives in the temple of the LORD.
21 以 赛 亚 说 ： 当 取 一 块 无 花 果 饼 来 ， 贴 在 疮 上 ， 王 必 痊 愈 。

Isaiah had said, “Prepare a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil, and he will recover.”
22 希 西 家 问 说 ： 我 能 上 耶 和 华 的 殿 ， 有 甚 麽 兆 头 呢 ？

Hezekiah had asked, “What will be the sign that I will go up to the temple of the LORD?”
