John 15:1-17

WEB 1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. NIV 1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. WEB 2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. NIV 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunesso that it will be even more fruitful. WEB 3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. NIV 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. WEB 4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. NIV 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. WEB 5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. NIV 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. WEB 6 If a man doesn't remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. NIV 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. WEB 7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done to you. NIV 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. WEB 8 "In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. NIV 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. WEB 9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. NIV 9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. WEB 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love. NIV 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. WEB 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. NIV 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. WEB 12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. NIV 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. WEB 13 Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. NIV 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. WEB 14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. NIV 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. WEB 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you. NIV 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. WEB 16 You didn't choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. NIV 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. WEB 17 "I command these things to you, that you may love one another. NIV 17 This is my command: Love each other.
