ESV 3 So his brothers said to him, "Leave here and go to Judea, that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. NIV 3 Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do. ESV 4 For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world." NIV 4 No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” ESV 5 For not even his brothers believed in him. NIV 5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him. ESV 6 Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. NIV 6 Therefore Jesus told them, “My time is not yet here; for you any time will do. ESV 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil. NIV 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. ESV 8 You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come." NIV 8 You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.” ESV 9 After saying this, he remained in Galilee. NIV 9 After he had said this, he stayed in Galilee. ESV 10 But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private. NIV 10 However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
