1 Yuēshūyà jiāng Yǐsèliè de zhòng zhīpaì jùjí zaì Shìjiàn , zhào le Yǐsèliè de zhǎnglǎo , zúzhǎng , shĕnpàn guān , bìng guān zhǎng lái , tāmen jiù zhàn zaì shén miànqián .
1 Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges and officials of Israel, and they presented themselves before God.
2 Yuēshūyà duì zhòng mín shuō , Yēhéhuá Yǐsèliè de shén rúcǐ shuō , gǔ shí nǐmen de lièzǔ , jiù shì Yàbólāhǎn hé Náhè de fùqin Tālā , zhù zaì dà hé nàbiān shìfèng bié shén ,
2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.
3 Wǒ jiāng nǐmen de zǔzong Yàbólāhǎn cóng dà hé nàbiān daì lái , lǐng tā zǒu biàn Jiānán quán dì , yòu shǐ tāde zǐsūn zhòngduō , bǎ Yǐsā cìgĕi tā .
3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the Euphrates and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants. I gave him Isaac,
4 Yòu bǎ Yǎgè hé Yǐsǎo cìgĕi Yǐsā , jiāng Xīĕrshān cìgĕi Yǐsǎo wèi yè . hòulái Yǎgè hé tāde zǐsūn xià dào Āijí qù le .
4 and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I assigned the hill country of Seir to Esau, but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt.

5 “ ‘Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I afflicted the Egyptians by what I did there, and I brought you out.
6 Wǒ lǐng nǐmen lièzǔ chū Āijí , tāmen jiù dào le Hónghǎi . Āijí rén daìlǐng chēliàng mǎ bīng zhuīgǎn nǐmen lièzǔ dào Hónghǎi .
6 When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.
7 Nǐmen lièzǔ āi qiú Yēhéhuá , tā jiù shǐ nǐmen hé Āijí rén zhōngjiān hēiàn le , yòu shǐ hǎi shuǐ yānmò Āijí rén . wǒ zaì Āijí suǒ xíng de shì , nǐmen qīnyǎn jiàn guō . nǐmen zaì kuàngyĕ yĕ zhù le xǔduō nián rì .
7 But they cried to the LORD for help, and he put darkness between you and the Egyptians; he brought the sea over them and covered them. You saw with your own eyes what I did to the Egyptians. Then you lived in the wilderness for a long time.
8 Wǒ lǐng nǐmen dào Yuēdànhé dōng Yàmólìrén suǒ zhù zhī dì . tāmen yǔ nǐmen zhēng zhàn , wǒ jiāng tāmen jiāo zaì nǐmen shǒu zhōng , nǐmen biàn dé le tāmende dì wèi yè . wǒ yĕ zaì nǐmen miànqián jiāng tāmen mièjué .
8 “ ‘I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land.
9 Nàshí , Móyē wáng xī bō de érzi bā lè qǐlai gōngjī Yǐsèliè rén , dǎfa rén zhào le Bǐĕr de érzi Bālán lái zhòuzǔ nǐmen .
9 When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you.
10 Wǒ bù kĕn tīng Bālán de huà , suǒyǐ tā dǎo wèi nǐmen liánlián zhùfú . zhèyàng , wǒ biàn jiù nǐmen tuōlí bā lè de shǒu .
10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
11 Nǐmen guō le Yuēdànhé , dào le Yēlìgē . Yēlìgē rén , Yàmólìrén , Bǐlìxǐrén , Jiānán rén , Hèrén , Géjiāsārén , Xīwèirén , Yēbùsīrén dōu yǔ nǐmen zhēng zhàn . wǒ bǎ tāmen jiāo zaì nǐmen shǒu lǐ .
11 “ ‘Then you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The citizens of Jericho fought against you, as did also the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites and Jebusites, but I gave them into your hands.
12 Wǒ dǎfa huángfēng fēi zaì nǐmen qiánmian , jiāng Yàmólìrén de èr wáng cóng nǐmen miànqián niǎn chū , bìng bú shì yòng nǐde dāo , yĕ bú shì yòng nǐde gōng .
12 I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you—also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow.
13 Wǒ cìgĕi nǐmen dì tǔ , fēi nǐmen suǒ xiū zhì de . wǒ cìgĕi nǐmen chéngyì , fēi nǐmen suǒ jiànzào de . nǐmen jiù zhù zaì qízhōng , yòu dé chī fēi nǐmen suǒ zāizhòng de pútaóyuán , gǎnlǎn yuán de guǒzi .
13 So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.’
14 Xiànzaì nǐmen yào jìngwèi Yēhéhuá , chéng xīn shí yì dì shìfèng tā , jiāng nǐmen lièzǔ zaì dà hé nàbiān hé zaì Āijí suǒ shìfèng de shén chúdiào , qù shìfèng Yēhéhuá .
14 “Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
15 Ruò shì nǐmen yǐ shìfèng Yēhéhuá wèi bù hǎo , jīnrì jiù kĕyǐ xuǎnzé suǒ yào shìfèng de , shì nǐmen lièzǔ zaì dà hé nàbiān suǒ shìfèng de shén ne . shì nǐmen suǒ zhù zhè dì de Yàmólìrén de shén ne . zhìyú wǒ hé wǒ jiā , wǒmen bìdéng shìfèng Yēhéhuá .
15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
16 Bǎixìng huídá shuō , wǒmen duàn bù gǎn lí qì Yēhéhuá qù shìfèng bié shén .
16 Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
17 Yīn Yēhéhuá wǒmen de shén céng jiāng wǒmen hé wǒmen lièzǔ cóng Āijí dì de wèi nú zhī jiā lǐng chūlai , zaì wǒmen yǎnqián xíng le nàxiē dà shénjī , zaì wǒmen suǒ xíng de dào shàng , suǒ jīngguò de zhū guó , dōu bǎohù le wǒmen .
17 It was the LORD our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
18 Yēhéhuá yòu bǎ zhù cǐ dì de Yàmólìrén dōu cóng wǒmen miànqián gǎn chū qù . suǒyǐ , wǒmen bì shìfèng Yēhéhuá , yīnwei tā shì wǒmen de shén .
18 And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because he is our God.”
19 Yuēshūyà duì bǎixìng shuō , nǐmen bùnéng shìfèng Yēhéhuá . yīnwei tā shì shèngjié de shén , shì jì xié de shén , bì bù shèmiǎn nǐmen de guō fàn zuìè .
19 Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the LORD. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.
20 Nǐmen ruò lí qì Yēhéhuá qù shìfèng waì bāng shén , Yēhéhuá zaì jiàng fú zhī hòu , bì zhuǎn ér jiàng huò yǔ nǐmen , bǎ nǐmen mièjué .
20 If you forsake the LORD and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”
21 Bǎixìng huídá Yuēshūyà shuō , bù rán , wǒmen déng yào shìfèng Yēhéhuá .
21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the LORD.”
22 Yuēshūyà duì bǎixìng shuō , nǐmen xuǎn déng Yēhéhuá , yào shìfèng tā , nǐmen zìjǐ zuò jiànzhèng ba . tāmen shuō , wǒmen yuànyì zuò jiànzhèng .
22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD.” “Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied.
23 Yuēshūyà shuō , nǐmen xiànzaì yào chúdiào nǐmen zhōngjiān de waì bāng shén , zhuān xīn guī xiàng Yēhéhuá Yǐsèliè de shén .
23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.”
24 Bǎixìng huídá Yuēshūyà shuō , wǒmen bì shìfèng Yēhéhuá wǒmen de shén , tīng cóng tāde huà .
24 And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God and obey him.”
25 Dāng rì , Yuēshūyà jiù yǔ bǎixìng lì yuē , zaì Shìjiàn wèi tāmen lìdéng lǜ lì diǎnzhāng .
25 On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws.
26 Yuēshūyà jiāng zhèxie huà dōu xiĕ zaì shén de lǜfǎ shū shàng , yòu jiāng yī kuaì dà shítou lì zaì xiàngshù xià Yēhéhuá de shèng suǒ pángbiān .
26 And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the LORD.
27 Yuēshūyà duì bǎixìng shuō , kàn nǎ , zhè shítou kĕyǐ xiàng wǒmen zuò jiànzhèng . yīnwei shì tīngjian le Yēhéhuá suǒ fēnfu wǒmen de yīqiè huà , tǎnghuò nǐmen beìqì nǐmen de shén , zhè shítou jiù kĕyǐ xiàng nǐmen zuò jiànzhèng .
27 “See!” he said to all the people. “This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.”
28 Yúshì Yuēshūyà dǎfa bǎixìng gè guī zìjǐ de dì yè qù le .
28 Then Joshua dismissed the people, each to their own inheritance.
29 Zhèxie shì yǐhòu , Yēhéhuá de púrén nèn de érzi Yuēshūyà , zhēng yī bǎi yī shí suì , jiù sǐ le .
29 After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of a hundred and ten.
30 Yǐsèliè rén jiāng tā zàng zaì tā dì yè de jìng neì , jiù shì zaì Yǐfǎlián shān dì de Tíngná Xīlā , zaì jiā shí shān de bĕibiān .
30 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
31 Yuēshūyà zaì shì hé Yuēshūyà sǐ hòu , nàxiē zhīdào Yēhéhuá wèi Yǐsèliè rén suǒ xíng zhū shì de zhǎnglǎo hái zaì de shíhou , Yǐsèliè rén shìfèng Yēhéhuá .
31 Israel served the LORD throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the LORD had done for Israel.
32 Yǐsèliè rén cóng Āijí suǒ daì lái Yūesè de háigǔ , zàng mán zaì Shìjiàn , jiù shì zaì Yǎgè cóng qián yòng yī bái kuaì yínzi xiàng Shìjiàn de fùqin , Hāmā de zǐsūn suǒ mǎi de nà kuaì dì lǐ . zhè jiù zuò le Yūesè zǐsūn de chǎnyè .
32 And Joseph’s bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph’s descendants.
33 Yàlún de érzi YǐlìYàsā yĕ sǐ le , jiù bǎ tā zàng zaì tā érzi Fēiníhā suǒ dé , Yǐfǎlián shān dì de xiǎo shān shàng .
33 And Eleazar son of Aaron died and was buried at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim.
