Luke 19:5-10

NLT 5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.” NIV 5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” NLT 6 Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy. NIV 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. NLT 7 But the people were displeased. “He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner,” they grumbled. NIV 7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” NLT 8 Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!” NIV 8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” NLT 9 Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham. NIV 9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. NLT 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” NIV 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
