Luke 2:1-6

KJV 1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. NIV 1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. KJV 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) NIV 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) KJV 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
