KJV 38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. NIV 38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” KJV 39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. NIV 39 Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. KJV 40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. NIV 40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him. KJV 41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them,Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. NIV 41 Returning the third time, he said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. KJV 42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. NIV 42 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!” KJV 43 And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. NIV 43 Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders. KJV 44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. NIV 44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.” KJV 45 And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. NIV 45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!” and kissed him. KJV 46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him. NIV 46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him. KJV 47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. NIV 47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. KJV 48 And Jesus answered and said unto them,Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? NIV 48 “Am I leading a rebellion,” said Jesus, “that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me?
