1 Bālán duì bā lè shuō , nǐ zaì zhèlǐ gĕi wǒ zhù qī zuò tán , wéi wǒ yùbeì qī zhǐ gōngniú , qī zhǐ gōng yáng .
1 Balaam said, “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me.”
2 Bā lè zhào Bālán de huà xíng le . bā lè hé Bālán zaì mĕi zuò tán shàng xiàn yī zhǐ gōngniú , yī zhǐ gōng yáng .
2 Balak did as Balaam said, and the two of them offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
3 Bālán duì bā lè shuō , nǐ zhàn zaì nǐde Fánjì pángbiān , wǒ qiĕ wǎng qián qù , huòzhĕ Yēhéhuá lái yíngjiàn wǒ . tā zhǐshì wǒ shénme , wǒ bì gàosu nǐ . yúshì Bālán shàng yī jìng guāng de gāo chǔ .
3 Then Balaam said to Balak, “Stay here beside your offering while I go aside. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet with me. Whatever he reveals to me I will tell you.” Then he went off to a barren height.
4 Shén yíngjiàn Bālán . Bālán shuō , wǒ yùbeì le qī zuò tán , zaì mĕi zuò tán shàng xiàn le yī zhǐ gōngniú , yī zhǐ gōng yáng .
4 God met with him, and Balaam said, “I have prepared seven altars, and on each altar I have offered a bull and a ram.”
5 Yēhéhuá jiàng huà chuán gĕi Bālán , yòu shuō , nǐ huí dào bā lè nàli , yào rúcǐ rúcǐ shuō .
5 The LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth and said, “Go back to Balak and give him this word.”
6 Tā jiù huí dào bā lè nàli , jiàn tā tóng Móyē de shǐ chén dōu zhàn zaì Fánjì pángbiān .
6 So he went back to him and found him standing beside his offering, with all the Moabite officials.
7 Bālán biàn tí qǐ shīgē shuō , bā lè yǐn wǒ chū Yàlán , Móyē wáng yǐn wǒ chū dōng shān , shuō , lái a , wéi wǒ zhòuzǔ Yǎgè . lái a , nù mà Yǐsèliè .
7 Then Balaam spoke his message: “Balak brought me from Aram, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains. ‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel.’
8 Shén méiyǒu zhòuzǔ de , wǒ yān néng zhòuzǔ , Yēhéhuá méiyǒu nù mà de , wǒ yān néng nù mà ,
8 How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the LORD has not denounced?
9 Wǒ cóng gāofēng kàn tā , cóng xiǎo shān wàng tā . zhè shì dú jū de mín , bú liè zaì wàn mín zhōng .
9 From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them. I see a people who live apart and do not consider themselves one of the nations.
10 Shuí néng shǔ diǎn Yǎgè de chéntǔ , shuí néng jìsuàn Yǐsèliè de sì fēn ...zhīyī , wǒ yuàn rú yì rén zhī sǐ ér sǐ . wǒ yuàn rú yì rén zhī zhōng ér zhōng .
10 Who can count the dust of Jacob or number even a fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and may my final end be like theirs!”
11 Bā lè duì Bālán shuō , nǐ xiàng wǒ zuò de shì shénme shì ne , wǒ lǐng nǐ lái zhòuzǔ wǒde chóudí , búliào , nǐ jìng wéi tāmen zhùfú .
11 Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them!”
12 Tā huídá shuō , Yēhéhuá chuán gĕi wǒde huà , wǒ néng bú jǐnshèn chuánshuō ma ,
12 He answered, “Must I not speak what the LORD puts in my mouth?”
13 Bā lè shuō , qiú nǐ tóng wǒ wǎng bié chǔ qù , zaì nàli kĕyǐ kànjian tāmen . nǐ bùnéng quán kànjian , zhǐ néng kànjian tāmen biānjiè shàng de rén . zaì nàli yào wéi wǒ zhòuzǔ tāmen .
13 Then Balak said to him, “Come with me to another place where you can see them; you will not see them all but only the outskirts of their camp. And from there, curse them for me.”
14 Yúshì lǐng Bālán dào le suǒ féi tián , shàng le Písījiā shāndǐng , zhú le qī zuò tán . mĕi zuò tán shàng xiàn yī zhǐ gōngniú , yī zhǐ gōng yáng .
14 So he took him to the field of Zophim on the top of Pisgah, and there he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
15 Bālán duì bā lè shuō , nǐ zhàn zaì zhè Fánjì pángbiān , dĕng wǒ wǎng nàbiān qù yíngjiàn Yēhéhuá .
15 Balaam said to Balak, “Stay here beside your offering while I meet with him over there.”
16 Yēhéhuá líndào Bālán nàli , jiāng huà chuán gĕi tā . yòu shuō , nǐ huí dào bā lè nàli , yào rúcǐ rúcǐ shuō .
16 The LORD met with Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said, “Go back to Balak and give him this word.”
17 Tā jiù huí dào bā lè nàli , jiàn tā zhàn zaì Fánjì pángbiān . Móyē de shǐ chén yĕ hé tā zaì yī chǔ . bā lè wèn tā shuō , Yēhéhuá shuō le shénme huà ne ,
17 So he went to him and found him standing beside his offering, with the Moabite officials. Balak asked him, “What did the LORD say?”
18 Bālán jiù tí shīgē shuō , bā lè , nǐ qǐlai tīng . xī bō de érzi , nǐ tīng wǒ yán .
18 Then he spoke his message: “Arise, Balak, and listen; hear me, son of Zippor.
19 Shén fēi rén , bì bú zhì shuōhuǎng , yĕ fēi Rénzǐ , bì bú zhì hòuhuǐ . tā shuōhuà qǐbù zhào zhe xíng ne , tā fā yán qǐbù yào chéngjiù ne ,
19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
20 Wǒ fèng méng zhùfú . shén yĕ céng cì fú , cǐ shì wǒ bùnéng fān zhuǎn .
20 I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
21 Tā wèi jiàn Yǎgè zhōng yǒu zuìniè , yĕ wèi jiàn Yǐsèliè zhōng yǒu jiān è . Yēhéhuá tāde shén hé tā tóng zaì . yǒu huānhū wáng de shēngyīn zaì tāmen zhōngjiān .
21 “No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The LORD their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them.
22 Shén lǐng tāmen chū Āijí . tāmen sìhu yǒu yĕ niú zhī lì .
22 God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox.
23 Duàn méiyǒu fǎshù kĕyǐ haì Yǎgè , yĕ méiyǒu zhān bo kĕyǐ haì Yǐsèliè . xiànzaì bì yǒu rén lún jí Yǎgè , jiù shì lún jí Yǐsèliè shuō , shén wèi tā xíng le hédĕng de dà shì .
23 There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’
24 Zhè mín qǐlai , fǎngfú mǔ shī , tǐng shēn , hǎoxiàng gōng shī , wèicéng chī yĕ shí , wèicéng hē beì shāng zhĕ zhī xuè , jué bú tǎng wò .
24 The people rise like a lioness; they rouse themselves like a lion that does not rest till it devours its prey and drinks the blood of its victims.”
25 Bā lè duì Bālán shuō , nǐ yídiǎn búyào zhòuzǔ tāmen , yĕ búyào wéi tāmen zhùfú .
25 Then Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all nor bless them at all!”
26 Bālán huídá bā lè shuō , wǒ qǐbù shì gàosu nǐ shuō fán Yēhéhuá suǒ shuō de , wǒ bìxū zūnxíng ma ,
26 Balaam answered, “Did I not tell you I must do whatever the LORD says?”
27 Bā lè duì Bālán shuō , lái bā , wǒ lǐng nǐ wǎng bié chù qù , huòzhĕ shén xǐhuan nǐ zaì nàli wéi wǒ zhòuzǔ tāmen .
27 Then Balak said to Balaam, “Come, let me take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them for me from there.”
28 Bā lè jiù lǐng Bālán dào nà xià wàng kuàngyĕ de pí Ěr shāndǐng shàng .
28 And Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, overlooking the wasteland.
29 Bālán duì bā lè shuō , nǐ zaì zhèlǐ wéi wǒ zhú qī zuò tán , yòu zaì zhèlǐ wéi wǒ yùbeì qī zhǐ gōngniú , qī zhǐ gōng yáng .
29 Balaam said, “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me.”
30 Bā lè jiù zhào Bālán de huà xíng , zaì mĕi zuò tán shàng xiàn yī zhǐ gōngniú , yī zhǐ gōng yáng .
30 Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
