1 Recorrido de Israel<br />Esta es la ruta que los israelitas siguieron cuando salieron de Egipto bajo el liderazgo de Moisés y Aarón.

Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 Por orden del Señor<br />, Moisés guardó un registro escrito del avance. Estas son las etapas de la marcha, identificadas por los diferentes lugares donde se detuvieron en la ruta.

At the LORD’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:
3 Salieron de la ciudad de Ramsés, a comienzos de la primavera, el día quince del primer mes,<br /> por la mañana después de la primera celebración de la Pascua. El pueblo de Israel marchó desafiante, a la vista de todos los egipcios.

The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians,
4 Mientras tanto, los egipcios enterraban a todos sus primeros hijos varones, a los que el Señor<br /> había matado la noche anterior. ¡Esa noche el Señor<br /> derrotó a los dioses de Egipto, con grandes actos de juicio!

who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods.

The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.

They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.
7 Partieron de Etam y retrocedieron hacia Pi-hahirot, frente a Baal-zefón y acamparon cerca de Migdol.

They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol.

They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.

At the LORD’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.

Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 En esa ocasión el rey cananeo de Arad, que vivía en el Neguev, en la tierra de Canaán, oyó que el pueblo de Israel se acercaba a su tierra.

The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.

There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim.

On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the LORD said to Moses,
51 «Dale las siguientes instrucciones al pueblo de Israel: cuando crucen el río Jordán a la tierra de Canaán,

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,
52 expulsen a todos los que viven allí. Destruyan todas las imágenes talladas y fundidas y derriben todos sus santuarios paganos.

drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.
53 Tomen posesión de la tierra y establézcanse allí, porque a ustedes se la he dado para que la ocupen.

Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
54 Repartan la tierra entre los clanes por sorteo sagrado, en proporción a su tamaño. A los clanes más grandes se les entregará una porción más grande de tierra y a los clanes más pequeños, una porción menor. La decisión del sorteo sagrado es definitiva. De esta manera se hará la repartición de las porciones de tierra entre sus tribus patriarcales.

Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.
55 Sin embargo, si no expulsan a los habitantes de la tierra, los que se queden serán como astillas en sus ojos y espinas en sus costados. Los acosarán en la tierra que habitan;

“ ‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.
56 y yo haré con ustedes lo mismo que había pensado hacer con ellos».

And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’ ”
