Psalm 107:1-7

CEB 1 "Give thanks to the LORD because he is good, because his faithful love lasts forever!" NRS 1 O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever. CEB 2 That's what those who are redeemed by the LORD say, the ones God redeemed from the power of their enemies, NRS 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, those he redeemed from trouble CEB 3 the ones God gathered from various countries, from east and west, north and south. NRS 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. CEB 4 Some of the redeemed had wandered into the desert, into the wasteland. They couldn't find their way to a city or town. NRS 4 Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to an inhabited town; CEB 5 They were hungry and thirsty; their lives were slipping away. NRS 5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. CEB 6 So they cried out to the LORD in their distress, and God delivered them from their desperate circumstances. NRS 6 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress; CEB 7 God led them straight to human habitation. NRS 7 he led them by a straight way, until they reached an inhabited town.

Psalm 107:33-37

CEB 33 God turns rivers into desert, watery springs into thirsty ground, NRS 33 He turns rivers into a desert, springs of water into thirsty ground, CEB 34 fruitful land into unproductive dirt, when its inhabitants are wicked. NRS 34 a fruitful land into a salty waste, because of the wickedness of its inhabitants. CEB 35 But God can also turn the desert into watery pools, thirsty ground into watery springs, NRS 35 He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water. CEB 36 where he settles the hungry. They even build a city and live there! NRS 36 And there he lets the hungry live, and they establish a town to live in; CEB 37 They plant fields and vineyards and obtain a fruitful harvest. NRS 37 they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and get a fruitful yield.
