1 Al Vencedor: de David: Salmo. Oh Dios de mi alabanza, no calles;

My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent,
2 porque boca de impío y boca de engañador se han abierto sobre mí; han hablado de mí con lengua mentirosa,

for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
3 y con palabras de odio me rodearon; y pelearon contra mí sin causa.

With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.
4 En pago de mi amor me han sido adversarios; mas yo oraba.

In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.
5 Y pusieron contra mí mal por bien, y odio por mi amor.

They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6 Pon sobre él al impío; y Satanás esté a su diestra.

Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand at his right hand.
7 Cuando fuere juzgado, salga impío; y su oración sea para pecado.

When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him.
8 Sean sus días pocos; tome otro su oficio.

May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.
9 Sean sus hijos huérfanos, y su mujer viuda.

May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
10 Y anden sus hijos vagabundos, y mendiguen; y procuren de sus desiertos.

May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
11 Enrede el acreedor todo lo que tiene, y extraños saqueen su trabajo.

May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
12 No tenga quien le haga misericordia; ni haya quien tenga compasión de sus huérfanos.

May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
13 Su posteridad sea talada; en segunda generación sea raído su nombre.

May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation.
14 Venga en memoria cerca del SEÑOR la maldad de sus padres, y el pecado de su madre no sea borrado.

May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
15 Estén siempre delante del SEÑOR, y él corte de la tierra su memoria.

May their sins always remain before the LORD, that he may blot out their name from the earth.
16 Por cuanto no se acordó de hacer misericordia, y persiguió al varón pobre <I>en espíritu</I> , y menesteroso, y quebrantado de corazón, para matarlo.

For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy and the brokenhearted.
17 Y amó la maldición, y <I>ésta</I> le sobrevino; y no quiso la bendición, y ella se alejó de él.

He loved to pronounce a curse— may it come back on him. He found no pleasure in blessing— may it be far from him.
18 Y se vistió de maldición como de su vestido, y entró como agua en sus entrañas, y como aceite en sus huesos.

He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.
19 Séale como vestido <I>con que</I> se cubra, y en lugar del cinto <I>con que</I> se ciña siempre.

May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
20 Este <I>sea</I> el pago de parte del SEÑOR de los que me calumnian, y de los que hablan mal contra mi alma.

May this be the LORD’s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.
21 Y tú, oh DIOS el Señor, haz conmigo por amor de tu Nombre: Líbrame, porque tu misericordia <I>es</I> buena.

But you, Sovereign LORD, help me for your name’s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.
22 Porque yo <I>soy</I> pobre y necesitado; y mi corazón <I>está</I> herido dentro de mí.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 Como la sombra cuando declina me voy; soy arrebatado <I>del viento</I> como langosta.

I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.
24 Mis rodillas están debilitadas a causa del ayuno, y mi carne desfallecida por falta de gordura.

My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.
25 Yo he sido para ellos <I>objeto de</I> oprobio; me miraban, y meneaban su cabeza.

I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.
26 Ayúdame, SEÑOR Dios mío; sálvame conforme a tu misericordia.

Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love.
27 Y entiendan que esta <I>es</I> tu mano; <I>que</I> tú, el SEÑOR, has hecho <I>esto</I> .

Let them know that it is your hand, that you, LORD, have done it.
28 Maldigan ellos, y bendice tú; levántense, mas sean avergonzados; y tu siervo sea alegrado.

While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.
29 Sean vestidos de vergüenza los que me calumnian; y sean cubiertos de su confusión como con <I>un</I> manto.

May my accusers be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.
30 <I>Yo</I> alabaré al SEÑOR en gran manera con mi boca, y le loaré en medio de muchos.

With my mouth I will greatly extol the LORD; in the great throng of worshipers I will praise him.
31 Porque <I>él</I> se pondrá a la diestra del pobre <I>en espíritu</I> , para librar su alma de los que le juzgan.

For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them.
