Salmos 115

1 La gloria, SEÑOR, no es para nosotros;no es para nosotros sino para tu nombre,por causa de tu amor y tu verdad.

1 Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

2 ¿Por qué tienen que decirnos las naciones:«¿Dónde está su Dios?»

2 Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?”

3 Nuestro Dios está en los cielosy puede hacer lo que le parezca.

3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

4 Pero sus ídolos son de oro y plata,producto de manos humanas.

4 But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands.

5 Tienen boca, pero no pueden hablar;ojos, pero no pueden ver;

5 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.

6 tienen oídos, pero no pueden oír;nariz, pero no pueden oler;

6 They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell.

7 tienen manos, pero no pueden palpar;pies, pero no pueden andar;¡ni un solo sonido emite su garganta!

7 They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

8 Semejantes a ellos son sus hacedores,y todos los que confían en ellos.

8 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

9 Pueblo de Israel, confía en el SEÑOR;él es tu ayuda y tu escudo.

9 All you Israelites, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.

10 Descendientes de Aarón, confíen en el SEÑOR;él es su ayuda y su escudo.

10 House of Aaron, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.

11 Los que temen al SEÑOR, confíen en él;él es su ayuda y su escudo.

11 You who fear him, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.

12 El SEÑOR nos recuerda y nos bendice:bendice al pueblo de Israel,bendice a los descendientes de Aarón,

12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless his people Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,

13 bendice a los que temen al SEÑOR,bendice a grandes y pequeños.

13 he will bless those who fear the LORD— small and great alike.

14 Que el SEÑOR multiplique la descendenciade ustedes y de sus hijos.

14 May the LORD cause you to flourish, both you and your children.

15 Que reciban bendiciones del SEÑOR,creador del cielo y de la tierra.

15 May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

16 Los cielos le pertenecen al SEÑOR,pero a la humanidad le ha dado la tierra.

16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.

17 Los muertos no alaban al SEÑOR,ninguno de los que bajan al silencio.

17 It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to the place of silence;

18 Somos nosotros los que alabamos al SEÑORdesde ahora y para siempre.¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el SEÑOR!

18 it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.
