KJVA 1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. NIV 1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. KJVA 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. NIV 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart— KJVA 3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. NIV 3 they do no wrong but follow his ways. KJVA 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. NIV 4 You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. KJVA 5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! NIV 5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! KJVA 6 Then shall I not be ashamed , when I have respect unto all thy commandments. NIV 6 Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. KJVA 7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. NIV 7 I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. KJVA 8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. NIV 8 I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. KJVA 9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. NIV 9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. KJVA 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. NIV 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. KJVA 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. NIV 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. KJVA 12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. NIV 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. KJVA 13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. NIV 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. KJVA 14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. NIV 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. KJVA 15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. NIV 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. KJVA 16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. NIV 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. KJVA 17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live , and keep thy word. NIV 17 Be good to your servant while I live, that I may obey your word. KJVA 18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. NIV 18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. KJVA 19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. NIV 19 I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me. KJVA 20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. NIV 20 My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times. KJVA 21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed , which do err from thy commandments. NIV 21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands. KJVA 22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies. NIV 22 Remove from me their scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes. KJVA 23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. NIV 23 Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees. KJVA 24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors . NIV 24 Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors. KJVA 25 DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. NIV 25 I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word. KJVA 26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. NIV 26 I gave an account of my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees. KJVA 27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works . NIV 27 Cause me to understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds. KJVA 29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously . NIV 29 Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law. KJVA 30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. NIV 30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws. KJVA 31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame . NIV 31 I hold fast to your statutes, LORD; do not let me be put to shame. KJVA 32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. NIV 32 I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding. KJVA 33 HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. NIV 33 Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. KJVA 34 Give me understanding , and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. NIV 34 Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. KJVA 35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight . NIV 35 Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. KJVA 39 Turn away my reproach which I fear : for thy judgments are good. NIV 39 Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good. KJVA 40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness. NIV 40 How I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life. KJVA 41 VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. NIV 41 May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise; KJVA 42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. NIV 42 then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word. KJVA 43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. NIV 43 Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws. KJVA 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. NIV 44 I will always obey your law, for ever and ever. KJVA 45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. NIV 45 I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. NIV 51 The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law. KJVA 52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself. NIV 52 I remember, LORD, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them. KJVA 53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law. NIV 53 Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law. KJVA 54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. NIV 54 Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge. KJVA 55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
