1 <<A Psalm by Asaph.>> The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks, And calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.
1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
3 Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very tempestuous around him.

4 He calls to the heavens above, To the earth, that he may judge his people:

16 But to the wicked God says, "What right do you have to declare my statutes, That you have taken my covenant on your lips,
16 But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
17 Seeing you hate instruction, And throw my words behind you?
17 You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.
18 When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have participated with adulterers.
18 When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
19 "You give your mouth to evil. You harnesses your tongue for deceit.
19 You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
20 You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother's son.
20 You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son.
21 You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that the "I AM" was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
21 When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.
22 "Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.
22 “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
23 Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, And prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him."
23 Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
