Psalm 62

CSB 1 I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. NIV 1 Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. CSB 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken. NIV 2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. CSB 3 How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering stone fence? NIV 3 How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down— this leaning wall, this tottering fence? CSB 4 They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah NIV 4 Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. CSB 5 Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him. NIV 5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. CSB 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken. NIV 6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. CSB 7 My salvation and glory depend on God; my strong rock, my refuge, is in God. NIV 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God ; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. CSB 8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah NIV 8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. CSB 9 Men are only a vapor; exalted men, an illusion. On a balance scale, they go up; together they [weigh] less than a vapor. NIV 9 Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath. CSB 10 Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, pay no attention to it. NIV 10 Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. CSB 11 God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God, NIV 11 One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God, CSB 12 and faithful love belongs to You, Lord. For You repay each according to his works. NIV 12 and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”
