Psalm 66:1-12

CEB 1 Shout joyfully to God, all the earth! NRS 1 Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; CEB 2 Sing praises to the glory of God's name! Make glorious his praise! NRS 2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise. CEB 3 Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength, your enemies cringe before you. NRS 3 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! Because of your great power, your enemies cringe before you. CEB 4 All the earth worships you, sings praises to you, sings praises to your name!" Selah NRS 4 All the earth worships you; they sing praises to you, sing praises to your name." (Selah) CEB 5 Come and see God's deeds; his works for human beings are awesome: NRS 5 Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds among mortals. CEB 6 He turned the sea into dry land so they could cross the river on foot. Right there we rejoiced in him! NRS 6 He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him, CEB 7 God rules with power forever; keeps a good eye on the nations. So don't let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah NRS 7 who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let the rebellious not exalt themselves. (Selah) CEB 8 All you nations, bless our God! Let the sound of his praise be heard! NRS 8 Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, CEB 9 God preserved us among the living; he didn't let our feet slip a bit. NRS 9 who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip. CEB 10 But you, God, have tested us— you've refined us like silver, NRS 10 For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. CEB 11 trapped us in a net, laid burdens on our backs, NRS 11 You brought us into the net; you laid burdens on our backs; CEB 12 let other people run right over our heads— we've been through fire and water. But you brought us out to freedom! NRS 12 you let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place.
